Office Chart January-June 2011 (no particular order)…
Ahh SO many awesome new albums have been released this year! There’s so much choice – we’re finding it hard to dedicate enough time to each of them to give them all the proper listen they deserve:-(
We put together a little office chart of everything we’ve picked up so far from January-June 2011 so we refer back to it and not forget anything!
- Pink heart = Bek’s favs (and wanna hear moar of’s!) for the year so far
- Blue heart = Dee’s favs (and wanna hear moar of’s!) for the year so far
Just arrived!! Do I open it or keep it pristine in it’s packaging to sell on eBay in 20 years time?
Radiohead / King of Limbs: Live From The Basement
According to the BBC, Radiohead will be playing a 55 minute performance of King of Limbs, Live from the Basement. One bummer however, apparently if you’re outside of the UK you’ll have to wait to at least July 1 to see it on your teev.
New Album: Memory Tapes / Player Piano
So pumped to hear that Memory Tapes, aka Dayve Hawk, will be releasing LP2 - Player Piano - on July 4th. I’ve been listening to Seek Magic pretty consistently since it came out in 2009 and I’m still not tired of it yet. If you’re like me and can’t wait to hear new material, check out the links below…

Heck, this album is getting great reviews! I can’t wait to hear it… I’ve ordered it on CD and have decided to resist the urge to download it first, instead I’m gonna wait til the CD arrives then pound it out on our very nice Cambridge Audio / Dynaudio setup at home:-)
I’m still fairly actively listening to Two Hands even after nearly 2 years, so I’m pretty pumped for Smother…

Check out the The xx play a live set (about 30mins worth) at Other Music & Dig For Fire’s SXSW Lawn Party.
I remember seeing these guys at the Laneway Festival last year and thinking that Oliver Sims was one pretty cool looking dude on stage.
